Because our little boy wants to be a fireman we decided to visit Kyoto City Disaster Prevention Center to learn more about fireman's job.
My son really enjoyed visiting Fire museum in Tokyo so I though he will like here too.
At Kyoto City Disaster Prevention Center, kids (and adults too) can learn how to protect yourself from disasters.
For small kids, they will enjoy riding a fire truck and be a mini fireman and shoot the water. For older kids, they might enjoy rescue helicopter simulator, smoke simulator, earthquake simulation room and flooding 4D theater.
We went there over the weekend so the cue for the helicopter simulator was very long. I recommend you to line up as soon as possible if your kids are keen to have a try.
I would like to take the kids back again when they are little older to enhance their awareness of disaster prevention.
